During his four-day official visit to the United States, Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed the strength and depth of the relationship between India and the US, stating that ties between the two nations are stronger than ever before.

PM Modi justified India's growing stature in the world, stating, "India deserves a much higher, deeper and wider profile and role." He emphasized that India is not a substitute for any country but is taking its rightful place in the world. With today's interconnected and interdependent world, India seeks to establish itself as a significant global player.

Addressing the ongoing discussions between India and China on border disputes, Prime Minister Modi emphasized India's commitment to respecting sovereignty, territorial integrity, and upholding the rule of law. He advocated for peaceful resolution through communication and diplomacy, stating that New Delhi is dedicated to supporting genuine efforts to end conflicts and ensure lasting peace and stability worldwide.

Highlighting his identity as the first Indian Prime Minister born in independent India, PM Modi presented himself and his country as they are to the world, embodying the aspirations and qualities of the Indian people.

The Prime Minister underlined the growing defense cooperation between India and the United States as a crucial pillar of their partnership. He also noted strategic advancements in trade, technology, and energy between the two nations.

During the hour-long interview, Prime Minister Modi called for reform in global institutions such as the United Nations, advocating for changes that reflect the evolving world order.

As part of his visit, Prime Minister Modi will lead the grand International Yoga Day celebrations at the United Nations headquarters in New York. Additionally, he is scheduled to meet with US President Joe Biden, First Lady Jill Biden, and other high-ranking US officials.
